Hurricane Flossie

Here we go folks. Your wakeup call to prepare is ringing and you’re left with three options: get your hurricane plan done now, get ready to wait in line for supplies, or get caught by surprise.

Hurricane Flossie - now a Category 4 storm, will make her approach to Hawaii’s Big Island Tuesday afternoon.

Tropical Depression Four - started as a tropical wave that exited the coast of Africa on Friday and is now moving westward toward the Lesser Antilles. One model intensifies TD4 into a Category 2 Hurricane this Saturday. Keep an eye on this.

Invest 91L - this system is predicted to make landfall on Wednesday afternoon near Corpus Christi, TX (map) as a 50 mph tropical storm.

Invest 91LOne way or another, a “Tropical Storm Dean” or “Hurricane Dean” is looking likely before next weekend. Whether or not they’re forecast to affect you directly, I think you’d agree that now is the time to get your hurricane plan in order - not this weekend when bottled water may begin vanishing from the shelves.
